"Great instructor. Focuses more on realistic conversation, speaking, and current/relevant topics than on book work or prewritten lesson plans.  This is my favorite learning style.  Incorporated history, culture, and etymology into instruction.  Jens was a good contrast with other teachers who were more book focused.  We were able to dive deep into relevant cultural and political topics in Germany and it allowed me to expand my vocabulary outside of certain book themes.  This also kept my soul from melting by providing a little more excitement."

Intermediate I Student

"The staff at ICLS was the picture of professionalism. I feel they do a wonderful job organizing the courses and they do it in a way to ensure maximum success. The German teachers in particular were outstanding. The teamwork between them was very reflective in the organization of the classes. They balanced cultural lessons with grammar, speaking, listening, reading and writing."

Intermediate II Student

"All around excellent and provided extremely valuable insight into Germany. He would always take the time to answer our questions about Germany and the German people, which deepened our understanding of German politics, international relations, culture, economics, and military affairs. We learned so much from Sue."
