Language Skills Assessment

ICLS provides language skills assessment and testing for government contractors, government agencies, and private companies and organizations who must evaluate the language proficiency of current and potential employees. We also provide language testing for individuals interested in receiving graduate school study credit or who must meet specific proficiency levels for employment.

Language assessments can be conducted in person, by phone, or virtually through our distance learning platform. Our language assessment program has been validated by top government agencies and is distinguished by a high-quality test management, coordination, and planning process that leaves our clients free from the burden of conducting tests in-house.

ICLS prides itself on quick response times and turnaround for scheduling tests and reporting on the test results. Throughout the process, honest and open communication is emphasized so that we may provide our clients with realistic outcomes and time-frames.

If you need to assess employee language skills, or have your skills validated to ensure career advancement, please contact us today to learn more about our assessment program

Language skill evaluation tests are preceded by a thorough needs analysis to ensure we test for the specific skills a client requires, and all tests are given in a professional facility by experienced testers.

We measure proficiency using the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale, which was developed to measure a person’s ability to communicate in a language. It consists of five levels of language proficiency and is the standard grading scale for language proficiency for the Federal Government.

Following a test, our test experts are available for consultation to interpret scores. If test results do not yield the desired outcome, we work with you to create a tailored training plan to improve the language skills of your current or potential employees.
