Evening Programs

The ICLS Evening Program offers foreign language classes in a variety of languages. We have a strong communicative and student-oriented approach to teaching and emphasize authentic language use. With our small class sizes, students have plenty of opportunity to practice their language skills. All classes are taught by qualified teachers with native proficiency in the target language.

Foreign language evening classes meet Monday through Thursday in 10-week sessions. Classes are available in the following languages:

  • Brazilian Portuguese
  • Modern Standard Arabic
  • Spanish
  • Chinese
  • French
  • Russian

Also available in other languages: bring us your group of at least 4 students and we’ll arrange a class for you!

How much does the course cost?

The cost of the course is $410 plus the cost of the textbook.

How much does the textbook cost?

Textbooks typically cost between $40- $110 and are used throughout a variety of levels.  The exact cost of the textbook varies depending on the language.

When is payment due?

Payment for the tuition and textbook is due in full before the start of the course.

How big are the classes?

Each class has between 4 and 12 students. We cap the classes at 12 students to give each student ample speaking time and individual attention from the instructor.

How often do the classes meet?

The classes meet two days per week for 10 weeks. There are a total of 20 classes per course.

I will miss a few classes. Do you offer prorated tuition?

We charge a flat fee for the group classes and are unable to offer prorated tuition. It is not uncommon for our evening group class students to have to miss a few classes for work or travel. We encourage students to check in with their instructor so they are able to review the material on their own before returning to class.

Is there a placement test?

There is no placement test for our evening group classes. If you have had some experience with the language and have questions about which level is most appropriate for you, please email foreignlang@icls.com.

I am an intermediate-level student. Which course is right for me?

Most of our evening group classes are designed for beginning-level students; however, we offer intermediate-level courses in some languages. If you have intermediate or advanced proficiency, please email foreignlang@icls.com to inquire about our group and private language training options.
